(Wasn't that great of a prize, just one of his top 20 friends on myspace. WOW myspace, that's been a long time ago.) And to tell the whole story, this logo contest made me cry so hard. I made a bunch of these logo's and picked my two favorite. I then gave one to my sister to enter and I chose the other. And you guessed it, the one I gave my sister, is the one that won.

Call us crazy, I don't care! I call it love. 

My sister sent me a link from someone on ebay claiming to be selling authentic Danny Wood items, from Danny's own home. I was skeptical, so I sent them an email. And this is what I got in response.

Dear becka3682,
I will be putting up shirts from concerts from back in the day 
as well as his personal leather tour jackets from back then. 
We have recent tour tshirts and I can get hi to put them on, I 
guess. He's my dad. 

I was still skeptical, UNTIL I saw a video with an interview with Danny telling about how his son had started putting his personal items without his consent on ebay. LOL

Hey!

We read your e-mail and thought you would be a great volunteer.

You are one of about 10 picked from thousands of entries- so you  

better be good :)

Here's what we need from you.

 Be at the venu  e no later than 4:30 pm the day of the show. Please go  

to will call and someone will come and get you.

 I will meet you and "brief" you :)

The directives will be determined the day of the show. In short, we  

need some people to collect the books, some people to hand out the  

"download vouchers" to those who bring a book  and some people to  

makes sure the crowd knows where they can drop off the books.

 I will take a picure with all of you guys and e-mail a copy to you  

soon after.

This is not a "meet and greet" so please don't expect anything. You  

are there for a bigger cause.

 Of course, I will be my normal charming self, but we have work to do.

 If you can't make it for done reason please respond accordingly.

 And if you can be there at 4:30 pm,

Ya, this made my year! LOL I was so happy when I got picked to help with the book donations at the concert. And of course, It was so disappointing when I couldn't do it due to conflicts with that and my meet and greet. Here is the letter I got in response..

Hey!

I wanted to write you back about

helping out and still going to I Love All Access.

First of all, it's very admirable of you to offer to miss the  

festivities at ILAA

and volunteer instead. That's says a lot about you.  However, I think  

it's best that we have people with a little more flexibilty. I want  

you to have fun at the party- you paid a lot of money for those tix!  

Please tell me when I meet you that I'm a jerk for turning you down  

and I'll give you an extra big hug!

Also! Please spread the word where ever you can. Oh, and there will be  

a drop-off for books at ILAA.

 Your passion is so important to the foundation. Please keep it up!

DVD Screening

Best part of going to NKOTB's screening of their Coming Home DVD in Wheeling, West Virginia was, wait for it, are you ready? Can you handle the suspense?
I made a fake ticket and got in with it! LOL
I know, that is SO wrong, it seems so wrong. But really, I thought, what the hell, worst thing that could happen was I'd get caught. And then I figured if they took me to jail, it would be in the paper, and it would be something Donnie would have loved for a fan to do! LOL My sister received an invite, and I did not. Now, we couldn't have that, not at all. Not after we had been to every NKOTB concert together, been thru every contest, not after all that.
