I finally, after years of trial and error, found the best fondant recipe!

(I dont LOVE the taste of it, but it is ok. And it can be frozen up to 3 months.)

This was my first ever cake that I was paid for!
I was not happy charging anything for it. So many mistakes.
But the bride said she loved it, so I hope that was true!

 

I made this for my niece's graduation party.

Messing around with marshmallow fondant.

It's so easy to do shapes. Just free hand or print what you want, then cut it out. Use the cut out on top of your fondant as a template and cut around it. 

 Cake decorated with kitkats on the outside, and m&ms on top.

My NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK birthday cake for ME. 

My sister and I worked on this one. 

We used sugar paste (You can buy this at Walmart, its about $10. a bag. But it goes a long way.)

It's a little hard to see, but the guys are holding microphones. And Danny Wood (my version of him, in the pink shirt) is holding a bouquet of flowers. 

Sugar paste is so easy and fun to work with.

The Sponge Bob cake I made for my nephew's birthday.

I used a simple icing recipe I found online, that I loved. 

(Cant remember it, and cant remember where I found it) 

I just free handed his face with a piping bag and fine tip, then filled it all in. 

This was probably my favorite cake I have made so far. 

 The fish cake I made for my brother in law's Birthday.

LOL The only colors I had on hand were pink and green. LOL 

I can't believe I used those colors! They look horrible!

But this cake was made with tons of love. 

Made with pralines.

Just a regular bundt cake, But I still liked it.

My Dad and Sisters Birthday cake.

This cake started falling in on me. LOL

But I used Duff's edible paper for this cake. 

Wasn't to hard to work with, would have been easier if I had a straight cake to work with. LOL

Ant Cupcakes made for the 4th of July Family Get together.
The ants were made with raisenets.

Ok, this isnt really a cake, but it is a cake shape!

Made out of diapers and bottles. Had fun with this!

First cake I made with my bestie, Amy. 

We had soo much fun with this cake!

And everything on it was made from homemade marshmallow fondant!

And these make me laugh, hard. 

My very first attempt at making a cake shaped like something, well, other than a cake.

Here is the car I made for my brothers birthday. And a flipflop cake I made for my birthday. 

It goes to show you how much my family loves me, Not a single one laughed at those cakes, now that's love.
